Back in 2005 the first Test Drive Unlimited was released. That was a game changer and it was certainly well-received by players the world over. This game however TDU2 is toted to be the ultimate online multiplayer gaming experience. In addition to elements of an MMO, there are also ways to interact with other layers. You can even ratchet up the gaming with single player action, car collection and turbo-charged horsepower gaming. What we particularly like about the game is the setting. You’ll notice that there’s a beautiful map of Ibiza and loads of different roads. Depending on your choice of road, you’ll experience a very different effect on your racing action. Here’s the clincher: select your vehicle very carefully because a Jeep will perform a whole lot better off-road than a Lexus. Players familiar with the 1st game will recall the full island of Hawaii.

DLC stands for ‘Downloadable Content” – A new content for the game that expands upon the original by adding more options or levels. The Online Casino DLC for TDU2 adds the ability to earn new clothes, furniture, 2 new cars and increases the level cap (maximum level) from 60 to 70. However, In order to get the 2 new cars, you have to earn some cash on the casino. In order to use the DLC, you have to download it from PSN (PS3), Xbox Live or Steam (PC). Some special editions of the game come with a code to let you get it for free, but the normal price is around 10$. Some people around the net say they used a code generator, but we wouldn’t recommend on this, as using such methods can get in trouble (Microsoft is known for banning cheaters and game pirates).
What can you expect from this exciting game?
First of all there are many MP challenges to partake in. They are designed by other players and the possibilities are wide open here. Competitors in TDU2 will be able to enter club-specific events and win prize money in order to advance to higher levels. The sense of community is what’s important and it is delivered with a dynamism and sophistication on par with the very best of what social gaming has to offer. The 4 sections in the game are Competition, Social, Discover and Collection. Sub-categories account for 15 levels in order to complete the total level of 60. Loads of tasks and winning races is paramount. Each of these sections adds substance to the game – making it a notable entertainment safe haven. The overall effect created by this game’s software is one of quality. While the graphics are not the best, they do represent the action in a novel and exciting way. If you’re about to enter the contest and crank up the racing action, you may find the steering not 100% to your liking. That’s because the steering works best with arcade-style racing games. Multiplayer mode gaming can take a lot of getting used to and the connection may get intermittently interrupted. Players may find that initiating a multiplayer game with this particular game will not yield the ideal outcome.
The Verdict:
TDU2 is certainly on the up and up. As a racing game, it’s loaded with social gaming features. But if you’re a solo player, then TDU2 works just as well. Overall, you’re going to love the game – it’s amped on adrenaline and loaded with power-packed play.
